The pumpkin donut from Dunkin Donuts is pictured here.
I have a donut each Sunday morning and stick with homemade granola, fresh fruit or poached eggs the other 6 days. There are so many seasonal varieties, though, so I'm going to give 4 different donuts a try and compare the pumpkins for you.
Each day I will try a pumpkin donut for you. I'll try pumpkin donuts from Dunkin Donuts, Tin Horton's, Wegmans, and the Ridge Donut Cafe here in Irondequoit and report back. Again, I will endure these four donuts all in the name of research.
The winning pumpkin donut will be announced Friday.
If you are in Irondequoit and know of other pumpkin donuts, let me know so I can be even more thorough!

Wow I really appreciate you making this scarifie for us, your loyal reads. I would like to suggest Herman's Farm on Five Mile Line, they are in Webster so I will understand if you choose not to try their pumpkin donuts but they are delicious. (maybe you could save it for a special treat when you're out this way, oh but do it before Christmas which is when they close for the season.)
Oh I will try! I knew they had their fried cakes, but didn't know about pumpkin. I am headed that way this week anyway, so I will try!
A woman after my own heart! Pumpkin and Donuts are married into a perfect union! I have none of those shops in Colorado but will follow your challenge with great interest. Thanks for taking one for the team.
Hey Karley while you're out that way you could try Mayer's friedcakes too they are just down the road from Herman's. Enjoy bought 2 today, one for my LO and one for me (glazed and sugar...glazed are the best :) )
