As you know, I am part of a book discussion for bloggers started by Jamie Ridler called The Next Chapter. This time around we're discussing The Happy Book by Rachel Kempster and Meg Leder.
What is making me happy today?
It's been a rough 24 hours or so. While we were supposed to be having a nice afternoon next door yesterday, Ben tripped over a Weeble (you know, "Weebles wobble but they don't fall down") and ended up hitting his left eye on the hardwood floor. He cracked the area along the eyelid and browbone and I had to rush him right to the pediatrician. He's been cleaned up, glued up, taped, and bandaged, but is grumpy. He was up most of last night and I decided he and I would enjoy a Mommy-Little Monkey Ben day together.
This morning, the nurse's office at Nick's school called and she said he had a fever, sore throat and chills and to come pick him up. After a long day of two miserable kiddos, they are sound asleep on the sofa.
The boys...sound asleep at 5:30pm
Tom is also on his way home with pizza from Guida's on Empire Blvd. It's their thin crust with pepperoni and feta. Delicious! The boys asked for it and when it's time to wake them up, I predict two big smiles.

Poor babies!! Our house is sick with some viral mess, I haven't been to work in a week!! I love the sock monkey pillow case-I have pj's with the same print!
I hope the boys start feeling better and are back to their normal selves real soon.
Thanks, T. All 4 of us have the congestion/fever/cough thing as of this AM.
Funny about the sock monkey pjs--I have them, too! Nick and Nora from Target :) Love them!
FEEL BETTER, my friend!
Poor guys I hope their both on the mend. We just found Guida's pizza and we love it. I usually make my own pizza but when I feel like taking a break we order this yummy pizza. We are fans of the thick crust but I might have to check out the thin crust next time.
I love Guida's. I was unfamiliar with it until my friend mentioned it on Facebook.
I also am going to try some recommendations from the Rochester Pizza Blog:
