Karley Ziegler Mott created Chic & Green in July 2007. At the time, the main purpose was to share natural skin care recipes, but it turned into much more. Sharing a love of Etsy finds, green beauty, reviews, and local artisan spotlights over the past 4.5 years has been a passion.
Using her background in aesthetics, makeup artistry, and skin care formulation, Karley shares lots of tidbits about the ingredients used in cosmetics and what they do-- and do not do-- for the skin. After spending several years working for major high-end cosmetics companies, Karley later developed her own line of facial skin care which was featured in numerous publications including Martha Stewart Body + Soul. She also is passionate about taking a more holistic approach and is a Certified Aromatherapist and earned Master/Teacher status in Reiki in 2006. After closing her business to concentrate on family and hobbies in 2009, she's still had a keen interest in researching organic beauty and skin care.
She's the mom of two boys, freelance writer, jewelry designer, thrift shop treasure hunter, Pinterest and coffee lover, and makes her home in New York.
